Cape Coral

The morning after we arrived in Cape Coral, the kids got right to work collecting all of the coconuts.

They spent a lot of time in the pool!

We went to the Sanibel causeway and let the kids play in the sand.  They were very busy!
We also waded into the Gulf.  We had originally planned to go for a boat ride with Uncle Kent, but the battery was bad.  So the beach was plan B.  Because of this, I forgot to bring their swimmies.  So we didn't spend much time in the water.

The kids were more than happy to play in the sand.

Lunchtime!
Sorting through their shells poolside.  Brandon found some nice shells, but Emmalyn went for quantity and had a ton of broken shells.
Fun in the car the next day headed back home.
Naptime.
More fun in the pool.

Watermelon break.

Grandma caught a lizard!

The kids held him too!

To end our vacation we celebrated my birthday on our last full day in Florida.  I wanted to go out for ice cream, but Brandon was very upset about that plan.  He needed me to have a cake with candles.  So grandma took the kids to Publix and let them pick out that lovely hamburger cake.  They were so proud of their choice!
